On Tuesday 25thof September, I went on an amazingly wild trip to West Punt and back. On an orange powerboat I was able to go from Spanish Water, all the way to Playa Piskado and back in seven hours! This tour was a superb option to see the island of Curaçao from an entire completely different perspective, with all her hidden secrets that can only be discovered by Sea.
My day began at Fishermen’s Pier (Visserhaven) at 10 am, which is just left of Caracasbaai (on the best place to stay in curacao) and in one of the harbors on Spanish Water. After signing the waiver, tucking my bag away, once in my seat we quickly powered out of Spanish Water, and into open waters. Being seated on the fitting aspect, with the coast to my proper, left me in just the fitting position to get continuously splashed every time we hit a wave just right. By the point we reached Mambo, I used to be positively soaked via, with my hat dripping water, and it was just pointless to wipe my sunglasses dry. With how briskly we were going, flying, leaping in the water I really could not care less about being soaked. The boat journey was enjoyable and just exciting one its own! However, to be sincere it may be a little bit scary once we jumped out of the water and landed back into the ocean, so unexpectedly.
Our first cease at 10:forty five was near the beach Kokomo, this cease was just a break in order that we could stretch a bit and have one thing to drink. Drinks are included in this trip and are available all through the tour! Here we may see the clear, turquoise blue water and it looked so inviting! Sadly, this isn’t our stop and we wouldn’t be stopping until Playa Piskado. On the way in which to Piskado, we noticed all of the well-known spots of Curaçao from the beaches comparable to Porto Mari, Cas Abao, Knip, and hidden gems within the sand, to the gorgeous nature and hotels.
By eleven:30 we reached Playa Piskado the place we might enter the blue waters and snorkel with the Sea Turtles there. I spent the subsequent forty five minutes watching Sea Turtles come and go, diving underwater to see them closer. Soon I swam back to the boat, having fun with the cool water, and seeing all this underwater life at Playa Piskado. Subsequent, we went to the beautiful Playa Lagun, which is hidden between towering cliffs for lunch at Bahia. Bahia is positioned on the prime cliff with a breath-taking view of the beach and the turquoise waters below. Benefit from the wonderful view, nice meals, and even the kittens that roam the restaurant. After lunch, we went to the magical blue room and watch this hidden cave dance with shimmering blue lights.
After leaving the blue room, we cruised back in direction of the east side of the island and we encountered the heavy current. Regardless that it was considered an excellent day, present smart, it was nonetheless very intense even with the expert navigating of our Captain Tamara. There were a number of jumps, dips, drops, and people on the left aspect have been splashed quite a bit. While most would find this thrilling, as this is a very exciting boat trip, it was just intense for me! I was very pleased when we reached the remainder cease near Kokomo for a break. Quickly here after we were in Punda having fun with the historic structure in the city middle and for a picture stop. Our last stop was at St. Barbara for a fast refreshing swim before we toured round Spanish Water. Within Spanish Water are the luxurious villas of Curacao. We explored deep within Spanish Water, components I by no means saw before till we docked back at 5 pm.
